The Walking Dead: Top 10 Moments

1. Carol shoots little girl ‘tells her to look at the flowers’ (Season 4 “The Grove)

Okay so not only is this episode my favorite TWD episode, it’s also the episode where Carol has to do that thing we sort of knew she had to do but we just didn’t want to see it actually happen. Also, this episode was shot beautifully, cinematically it looked gorgeous, the script was goosebumply good (yes I’m using that as a word), it was just a really beautiful episode that ended in such a tragic way. But I guess that sums up The Walking Dead in general. Anyways, I won’t get into the details, but this was an epic scene, an epic decision, and a huge turning point for Carol. People will definitely remember this moment not because it was so shocking but because it almost…wasn’t. I feel like we knew what she had to do, or we knew what would happen to Lizzie because let’s face it she was batsh** crazy. It’s not the ‘jaw dropping’ part of the scene that I appreciated, it was the fact that Carol made this moment feel like it was fine or it had to be done. You felt sorry for the little girl, not for what she had done to her sister, but because of who she was and what this zombie world had done to her. And once you see it in that way, I think you’re a true TWD fan, and you’re probably emotionally/mentally ready for a zombie apocalypse.

Season 5 of The Walking Dead premieres on October 12th 2014 on AMC.
